  1. Can we women undergo a Hair Transplant and if so, under what conditions?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    First of all, 40% of the general population suffers from Androgenetic Alopecia. Women are a special category because they cannot shave their hair as short as men.
    However, I have found methods where we shave a portion of the back donor area centrally, in the form of a large strip, which is then covered by the surrounding hair. This allows us to extract fewer grafts while keeping the area where the grafts will be placed unshaved. <\/p>\n

    1. Are there specific criteria for a woman to be able to undergo a Hair Transplant?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Yes, the main requirement is that the patient suffers from androgenetic alopecia, not diffuse hair loss. Additionally, there should be hair thinning in the area to be densified by more than 20\u201330%, or recession of the frontal hairline. Even temporal hair loss can be corrected, which is important because women with this issue cannot pull their hair up like others.
      A hair transplant should not be done simply because the hair is weak, damaged from dyes, or naturally fine in texture. <\/p>\n

      1. Is there a chance that a woman could completely shave her head like men so that more grafts can be obtained?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        It happens more rarely but it is not my choice, as this would cause intense stress to a woman. With a different haircut there will still be the right result and satisfactory hair growth. Besides, it is rare for a woman to need the same number of grafts as a man’s head. <\/p>\n

        1. How many hair follicles can be extracted from a woman in one session?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The number of grafts extracted primarily depends on the hair length and the shaving method.
          With a smaller strip-type extraction covered by the surrounding donor hair, we can extract about 900\u20131,200 grafts (\u22482,500 follicles).
          With a fully shaved donor area, we can go up to 1,500 grafts, for example.
          These numbers are usually sufficient for the frontal area, though densification may be needed later.
          The most important factor, however, is naturalness\u2014the result should look completely natural and invisible.<\/p>\n

          1. Can we women thicken our thin eyebrows with Hair Transplant?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Eyebrows are a specialized and delicate area for hair transplantation and require extensive experience\u2014only a few doctors perform it at a high standard.
            Patient selection is very careful, based both on the patient\u2019s desires and what is realistically achievable.
            Most commonly, total or partial hair loss occurs due to chronic plucking.
            Sometimes gaps form after injury or stitches.
            We avoid densification if there is already satisfactory natural hair, because new grafts are taken from the side of the scalp, which means the hair diameter and quality may differ, requiring extra caution to ensure a natural result. <\/p>\n

            1. Do eyebrows need special care afterwards?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Yes, you need to trim them here and there because they will grow and maybe use some wax-type styling product.<\/p>\n

              1. Is it an easy operation?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Nothing is easy or very difficult. However, everything requires care and experience. During the first week, you need to wear glasses to cover the treated area, which is purely for aesthetic reasons. After the first day, there is no pain, only slight redness and mild swelling, which subsides quickly. <\/p>\n

                1. Can hormones and thyroid negatively affect the result?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Women over 50 who are losing their hair and are concerned should visit an endocrinologist for tests and monitoring. Otherwise, no, this hair is not genetically affected. <\/p>\n

                    You can go immediately, after 10 days, but for dyeing we allow more than a month in the case of a transplant.<\/p>\n
