All operations are performed exclusively by the Dr. Lefteris Papanicolaou. <\/strong>Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most common cause of hair loss and thinning. It affects the scalp of men in approximately 80% of cases and women in about 40%. The exact causes remain unknown; however, it is certain that genetic predisposition plays a key role in the development of AGA. The onset of androgenetic alopecia is related to the effect of androgens on hair follicles, specifically the overproduction of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and the activity of the enzymes 5\u03b1-reductase I & II. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  1. Prolonged intense hair loss (more than 100 hairs per day)<\/li>

    Diagnosis begins with a complete medical history and blood or hormone tests, if necessary. This is followed by a pull test, and in some cases a biopsy. <\/p>

    In the next diagnostic phase, we use sophisticated cameras and magnifying lenses in collaboration with specialized software (application) to measure the density, quality, anagen and telogen hairs in the donor or recipient area.<\/p>

    After all of this, we reach diagnostic conclusions about alopecia, possible skin and hair treatments, and the candidate’s ability to undergo a hair transplant.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Treating hair loss with medication is not permanent.<\/strong> Without treatment, AGA is a constantly evolving condition.<\/strong><\/p>

    Injectable mesotherapy containing a cocktail of vitamins, trace elements, and antioxidants from renowned brands.<\/p>

    Injectable autologous mesotherapy.<\/strong> This is autologous regeneration and regeneration of tissues in the affected area.<\/p>

    The treatment of androgenetic alopecia can be conservative or surgical.<\/strong><\/p>

    When androgenetic alopecia is resistant to conservative treatments, it may be the subject of surgical treatment using the hair transplantation method.<\/p>
